We have collected answers to the most common questions people have when using our service. This section will be updated regularly to make it as useful and understandable as possible.
How does your service work?
We have automated the process of tracking official firmware updates for Xiaomi, REDMI and POCO smartphones, tablets and routers. Our crawlers automatically scan official sources, allowing us to publish links to new firmware versions and updates as quickly as possible.
Important: as a matter of principle, we do not publish custom (unofficial) builds and we do not analyse sources that are not directly related to Xiaomi.
The update has arrived on my device, but the link on your site is not there. Why is that?
It’s simple: we only publish links to existing files. When an update ‘arrives’, it’s usually an over-the-air (OTA) patch that is downloaded directly to the device. However, such updates are not available for direct download from the servers – they are not released to the public until the full version of the Recovery ROM is released.
In other words, until Xiaomi developers upload the file, we can’t post the link – it simply doesn’t exist online.
How is the Fastboot ROM release different from other updates?
Fastboot ROM is a separate type of firmware and its release is not related to OTA or Recovery ROM. In some cases, Fastboot files appear on official servers with a delay – from a few days to a few months. This is Xiaomi’s normal practice.
That’s why the release date of the Fastboot ROM on the website is the actual date the firmware was created, not the date it was uploaded to the server – we extract this information directly from the file content.
Is it really the original firmware?
Yes, it is. All links provided on our website are to unmodified official files. We do not modify the firmware, tamper with the contents of the archives or manipulate the links. This ensures that you get a clean and safe firmware version without any third party software.
Why is the firmware download slow?
Xiaomi’s servers can get overloaded, especially during the mass update period – hence the slow download speed. To avoid this, we publish download mirrors.
If the main server is slow, simply choose an alternative mirror from the list and the download will be much faster.
