REDMI Note 8 is in the Xiaomi EOL (end-of-life) list: support has ended, updates are no longer released, it will not receive MIUI 13.

The new MIUI update is not necessarily the best. Before updating REDMI Note 8 (ginkgo), read reviews on 4PDA or XDA Developers. If installing a Flash File, full ROM, or the new OTA update caused issues, please let us know in the comments and mention the version number.

    Please explain what it means when it says support ended. What does it mean? Does that mean there’ll be no more update after the current miui version (12.5.2 RCOMIXM)? I really need to know what this means… Urgent! Please explain ASAP!!

      This means that no more updates will be released for the phone. Never! The model has long been moved to the archive.

    I am currently with the miui version of 12.5.2 RCOMIXM global stable (codename ginkgo). There is no update package (ROM, Fastboot or OTA) available after 12.5.2. I am stuck with this same old version (12.5.2) and I really need a new update package ASAP. Redmi note 8 2021 (biloba) is going way up there all the way to miui 14 and we ginkgo users are still stuck here. What the hell is taking so long for the new update package after the current version 12.5.2? Please we need a new update package like MIUI 12.6.O RCOMIXM, etc any update package beyond the current version (12.5.2)… Please don’t keep us under suspense for so long!! Enough already!! Please inform us if there’ll be a new update package after the current version (12.5.2) or is this version the last and final? Please respond and tell us immediately!
