REDMI K40 Gaming has reached EOL (end-of-life) status in Xiaomi's official catalog: support has ended, new firmware and security patches are no longer released, and the device will not receive HyperOS 2.
The new HyperOS 1 update is not necessarily the best. Before updating REDMI K40 Gaming (ares), read reviews on XDA Developers or the Mi Community forum. If installing full ROM or the new OTA update caused issues, please let us know in the comments and mention the firmware region and version number.
I got this phone just 4 days ago, the update was taking so long, I got desperate and updated directly to 13.0.1.0 (SKJINXM). The performance is not what I expected for this phone, checking numbers in this article…I think I flashed indian ROM in a Chinese device. Will try installing the China ROM and test again.
Any help appreciated.
