      This is Xiaomi’s update policy. Only Xiaomi smartphones get four Android updates, not Redmi and POCO. So far.

    I’ve RM Note 12 Pro 5G (22101316G) with 14.0.2.0(TMOMIXM) rom installed. I checked for updates and it says no update available. But I found 14.0.6.0 on this group. Why this update not getting via ota? Is my phone not with the appropriate rom installed? Can I update this rom?
    What is difference between EU rom (14.0.12.0) with Global?
    Actually I’d like to change to chinese rom because of call recording function. In this global rom, it probide call recording but it’s suck by Google privacy. Why people want to change chinese rom to global rom? Any suggestions? Thanks

      There is no difference between EU and Global ROMs. And you can install thus version. But only via Fastboot with unlocked bootloader.

    There is no actual way to update the handset via recovery image, without a flash tool and without unlocking the bootloader as first step, which leads to a forced wipe of the user data.

    Does anyone how to update the handset without loosing the user data? If yes, please share your knowledge :).

    I have Note 12 Pro for one week and I am stucked on 14.0.6.0 TMOEUXM and phone cant find 14.0.11.0. I can see there are more people with similar problem, so I hope this will be fixed. Fastboot is the backup solution 🙂 Does anyone have 14.0.11.0 TMOEUXM?

    Is there a way to flash the current official recovery rom as an update, without unlocking the bootloader, or user data loss like due to the wipe by installing a fastboot rom?

    I’m struggeling to update the Europe MIUI 14.0.8.0.TMOEUXM to the current Europe MIUI 14.0.11.0.TMOEUXM. When using the local update method via “choose update package” via the update app, it fails with error “other reason”.

    How can I update?

    How do you update Xiaomi Note 12 Pro Plus (Global-EU) Android 12 to Android 13. Trying to use most recent and older ROM from file within phone update tool (advanced settings) fails (error). Xiaomi assistant tool doesn’t recognize phone while it’s rebooted in recovery PC assistant in update mode. Please also advise in case of failure how proper update and or recovery process should look like.

    Comprei recentemente o Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G – Global Modelo 22101316UG e quando liguei atualizou para a MIUI 14 mais a versão do android esta na versão 12.

    Pelo que li em alguns sites antes da compra este modelo já iria atualizar para o android 13.

    Flashed the Chinese-made Redmi Note 12 Pro with Indian ROM successfully.

    However. The Chinese model has NFC in it but Indian ROM doesn’t support it.

    Downloaded the standalone Xiaomi NFC APK but was told not compatible upon install.

    Anybody?

      NFC is depending on region. If the phone have this module, there is no guarantee, that it will be working at your region if the smartphone is for the other region.

    The front and back cameras of the Redmi Note 12 Pro are very poor. Gives oversaturated photos. Redmi people should fix this through an update. Better than this the camera of pco x5pro is good.

    So I flashed my Chinese version of RM Note 12 pro to the Indian Fastboot version 13.0.4.0.SMOINXM

    Used the latest Mi Phone Assistant official release to do the job. The flash process was fast.

    Upon reboot, got into the recovery environment that says this ROM could not be installed on this model of phone.

    And it kept rebooting itself into the same recovery interface. And I just left it alone.

    About half an hour or 40 minutes late, upon another reboot, all of a sudden it broke into the MIUI boot screen. And it made it.

    Just to make sure it was not accidental I rebooted it a couple of times. And it everytime it booted into the Indian ROM without an issue. Checked the ROM and it was officially the Indian one (22101316I ).

    So not sure if I just got it by luck. Not recommended if you don’t want to take the risk. Just wait for the global one later.

      There is no risk of bricking, but NFC depends on region. It may be not working, if you’ll install indian ROM. But not at 100%… You can try, and if there’s some troubles – just flash Global ROM.

            Quando você abrir o mi flash verá no canto inferior direito as seguintes opções
            1 clean
            2 clean and lock

            Estará marcado a partir opção 2.. Vc deverá escolher a 1 que assim não dará erro

    The fact is, there isn’t a global ROM available for redmi note 12 pro/ pro+ yet. However, there is a rumour that the phone will be released in India on the 5th of January 2023. Let’s hope this is true. Don’t forget to bond your number with your mi device/ account.

      If you want to get official OTA, you must lock the bootloader. Unlocked bootloader is needed only for install the ROM via Fastboot.

      You need to flash Global ROM in Fastboot mode via MiFlash Pro. But first of all you need to unlock bootloader and activate USB Debugging.
