Redmi 9 is on the Xiaomi EOS (end-of-support) list. This is similar to EOL (End of Life) status and means that the smartphone is no longer supported. It does not receive software updates and new firmware from Xiaomi, and known security vulnerabilities are not fixed.

No, Xiaomi has stopped releasing updates for it. The latest MIUI version for Redmi 9 — MIUI 13.

    I have europe M2004J19AG, currently MIUI 13.0.1.0.SJCEUXM is installed.
    It doesn’t want to install 13.0.3.0.SJCEUXM recovery, says update check not sucessful – other reason.

    And also there should be another security update may 2023 in the line for this phone (eea), now available in june?

      There is a strange situation with series 9 now. Xiaomi officially added these phones to the blacklist, so it is unknown will these phones get any updtaes or not.

        It is still in the AER list for Security Update 2023/05.
        When i select 2023/05 on this site, “Redmi 9” is still in the list.

        Maybe i try with the fastboot firmware image Version 13.0.3.0.SJCEUXM,
        if the issue with recovery image doesn’t resolve, next week.

          I now did a successful install of the Fastboot 13.0.3 EU Image, after bootloader unlocking and one week waiting.
          Now waiting for may security Update or v14 MIUI.

    M2004J19AG. dopo aver aggiornato dal suo sistema dalla versione android 10, alla versione 12 con 13.0.2.0 ho perso la funzione della fotocamera frontale. Non risolto con hard reset.
    sto provando a scaricare la 13.0.4.0

    noto che in due telefoni identici, uno monta la versione 13.0.1.0 e funziona perfettamente, l’altro la 13.0.2.0 che da problema alla fotocamera.

      You need to download Global 12.5.4.0.RJCMIXM OTA Update and then install it manually. For installation use preferences of the phone (Preferences – About phone – Update).
