The latest MIUI update doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best. Read the reviews on the 4PDA or XDA Developers websites before installing new software update to Mi 9 Lite pyxis. If you downloaded Flash File, Full ROM or the latest OTA Update and encounter problems with your device after installation, please write about it in the comments section, quoting the number of the buggy firmware.
Mi 9 Lite is on the Xiaomi EOS (end-of-support) list. This is similar to EOL (End of Life) status and means that the smartphone is no longer supported. It does not receive software updates and new firmware from Xiaomi, and known security vulnerabilities are not fixed.
Where is 12.5 miui global rom with new security patch for the mi 9 Lite?
I have 2 Pyxis (Mi 9 Lite): one with Global ROM, the other is with EU ROM by factory default. None of them have been ever rooted or manipulated by recovery, so still stock/original.
BOTH of them should have already received the latest ROM update (with MIUI12.5.x.x with Android 11), but automatic update (OTA) are NOT available. Checking manually did not help. Downloading the official ROM(s) and doing the install manually give this error:
“Can not confirm update. Sorry, flash to this stable version is not allowed”
Changing ‘Region’ (and even language) setting in phone did NOT help.
Using VPN with other IP location did NOT help.
Inserting a foreign SIM card into the phone, with foreign location did NOT help.
Receiving updated earlier: Checked, result: NOTHING!
Any ideas please?
This often happens with phones bought in China. You may have come across a “gray” product.
Both was purchased as new: the global from the official Hungarian importer (via MediaMarkt), the EU version from service provider. None of them were ‘gray’. Also, the previous ROM update was available to download & to install, so I don’t see the logic, if the older updates were pushed via OTA, why the new updates are not?
Anyway… Thank you for even spending any time with my question. 😉
Try to install this version in Fastboot Mode via Mi Flash Pro tool. You need to install ADB Drivers on PC, the programm, unlock the bootloader and activate USB Debugging at phone preferences. After that you can flash clear ROM.
Send Mi 9 lite MIUI 13 updating schedule
We’re not Xiaomi. We haven’t got any schedule. You need to call back Xiaomi Service for that information.
