The new HyperOS 3 update is not necessarily the best. Before updating Xiaomi Civi 3 (yuechu), read reviews on XDA Developers or the Mi Community forum. If installing a Flash File, full ROM, or the new OTA update caused issues, please let us know in the comments and mention the firmware region and version number.
Hello Xiaomi Support Team,
I am using a Xiaomi Civi 3 with MIUI Global 14.0.6.0
(TMIMIXM) and Android 13. I am facing several problems with my phone.
Many applications are not working properly, and I am also not receiving any new system updates. My phone is still running an old security update from 2023-05-01, which is very outdated.
Phone details:
Device: Xiaomi Civi3
MIUI Version: MIUI Global 14.0.6.0 (TMIMIXM)
Android Version: 13
Android Security Update: 2023-05-01
I have already checked for updates multiple times, but no new update appears. I would like to know:
1. Why my device is not receiving the latest updates.
2. When the next update will be available for my device.
3. How I can fix the issue with apps not working properly.
Please help me solve this problem as soon as possible.
Thank you.

There are no official global firmware versions available for this phone, as it is sold only in China. You are likely running an unofficial global version, which is not supposed to receive updates. If you want to receive updates, install the official Chinese firmware.
Hello, MUI company, my mobile was updated in 2023, but now it is not receiving updates, neither from the SIM card network, nor from Wi-Fi. I hope you can solve this problem for me as soon as possible. Thank you, Afghanistan, Nangarhar. my phone name Xiaomi civi3

Hello. I have my wife’s phone Civi 3 was updated with xiaomi.eu rom HyperOS 1. Now due to the restrictions of security by Google I need to recover it to original CN rom and lock bootloader. When it was new from the box – it was on MIUI, now – on HyperOS. For recovery to stock using FASTBOOT – will it correctly flash with last stock CN MIUI rom (it is older than present)? Or I should flash with latest HyperOS 2?
And the most important – how not to make it brick. During flashing – use “clean all data” only and after completion – check if tel properly booting to OS. How to lock bootloader then safely if it is alive? Should it be MIUI as it was out of the box or it can be on latest HyperOS? Of course both MIUI and Hyper are stock from official sites.
You cannot flash the latest stock CN MIUI if it’s older than your current HyperOS 1 from xiaomi.eu — this will almost certainly brick the device due to Anti-rollback protection. You must flash the latest official CN HyperOS for the Civi 3 instead. Use fastboot with MiFlash, first choosing the “clean all” option, then check that the phone boots and works properly. Only after confirming this should you flash again with “clean all and lock” to close the bootloader. You can lock the bootloader on either MIUI or HyperOS. Since the Civi 3 is now officially on HyperOS, it’s safest to lock it on the latest CN HyperOS.
Thanks a lot for confirming. Will try to follow.
