Hello, can this router work in mesh with AX3000?

Yes but only if both routers run Chinese firmware. If your AX3000 runs global firmware (either you brought it from an international Xiaomi authorized dealer, or you flashed the global ROM on your China-market AX3000) then you’re out of luck, as the Chinese-market AX1800/RM1800 (the black tower router) only has Chinese firmware.
Yes, it’s working fine. And you don’t need to have CN firmware on any of it. I’ve used it with global AX300. It connects to the mesh automatically after resetting. If not – push the “mesh” button on AX3000.
Mine does mesh with AX3000 no problem.
Will the RM1800 receive more updates?
We don’t know – it depends only on developers.
Any english rom?
If there’s no English ROM at official Xiaomi Channel, you couldn’t find it anywhere.
