REDMI-branded models get two or three major OS updates. The official support period only guarantees security patches and is not tied to the number of available OS generations.
MM-DD-YYYY – HyperOS 4 update release date in the region. The firmware can be downloaded via the link in the model name. The rollout is gradual, so the update may not land on your device right away.
Date (month, quarter) – the official rollout start date announced by Xiaomi. If problems come up during testing, the release may be pushed back.
Beta – the firmware has been found on Xiaomi servers, but it is still in beta testing and may not be available to users.
Mi Pilot – the HyperOS 4 update is available to a limited group of registered testers. The stable build will arrive once testing is completed successfully.
+ – a stable firmware release is expected for the region. There is no information yet on when it will arrive.
The final list of REDMI devices receiving the stable HyperOS 4 has not been published yet. Officially, only the models included in the beta programme are confirmed. The remaining entries are based on the brand’s update policy, supported Android versions and AER data.
Redmi K100 Pro is set to receive its first HyperOS 4 stable update.
HyperOS 4 runs on Android 17 and remains compatible with Android 16. If Android 15 was the last generation for your phone or tablet, it will not be upgraded to the new HyperOS 4.
Since REDMI devices top out at two or three major updates, models that have already received their full share of OS generations since launch are unlikely to be upgraded again, even if their hardware formally supports Android 16.
The India rollout runs on a separate schedule from Global, so REDMI owners in India should watch the India column rather than the Global one.
If your device is not on the list, don’t get upset. The developers may add it to the eligible list at a later stage of the rollout. Wait with us for the official confirmation.
REDMI smartphones and tablets are supported longer than POCO models, but they still sit below the Xiaomi main line, which gets priority in the rollout queue and more OS generations overall.
