Xiaomi-branded devices receive up to four major OS updates. Don’t rely on the official device support date to judge eligibility: that date only covers security patches and says nothing about new OS generations.

Update status in the table:
- MM-DD-YYYY – HyperOS 4 update release date in the region. The firmware can be downloaded via the link in the model name. The rollout is gradual, so the update may not reach your device right away.
- Date (month, quarter) – the planned start of the rollout according to Xiaomi’s official schedule. If testing reveals bugs, the release may be postponed.
- Beta – the firmware has been spotted on Xiaomi servers, but it is still a test build that may contain bugs and may never be distributed to users.
- Mi Pilot – the HyperOS 4 update is already rolling out to a limited group of registered testers. The stable build will arrive once testing is completed successfully.
- + – a stable firmware release is expected in the region, but there is no information on when it will arrive.
Xiaomi has published the full list of devices that will receive the stable Chinese version of HyperOS 4.
The global models taking part in the beta program have been officially confirmed. The rest of the list is based on the update policy, supported Android versions and AER data.

HyperOS 4 is based on Android 17 and also ships as builds on Android 16. If your Xiaomi phone or tablet is limited to Android 15, the new HyperOS 4 won’t be available for it.
The rollout traditionally starts in China alongside the launch of the new flagship series, with Global and European builds following within several weeks. The India rollout is managed by Xiaomi India on its own schedule, so dates in the India column often differ from Global.
Long-term support has always been a strong point of the Xiaomi main line: 3-4 major OS updates and 5+ years of security patches for flagships. That’s noticeably better than REDMI (2-3 updates) and POCO (1-2 updates).
