REDMI HyperOS 3 release tracker

Redmi-branded models receive two or three major OS updates, and their official support period extends only to security patches and is not tied to available OS generations.

Which REDMI phones will get HyperOS 3:

Update status in the table:

• Release – stable official firmware is already available in the region. This does not guarantee that the update will appear on eligible device immediately (why the HyperOS 3 update is not coming to REDMI).
• Beta – the version is in beta testing. The exact release date of the stable update is not yet known.
• Date – the estimated release date of HyperOS 3.0 for a specific model, based on the official REDMI update schedule.
• n/a – default value for regions. The firmware will be released in the countries where the eligible device is sold, but the date is not yet known.

The third generation of HyperOS 3.0 runs on Android 16 and is compatible with Android 15. If your phone doesn’t support Android 15, it won’t be updated. Some examples of such models are Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Note 12 5G and 12 Pro 5G, Redmi 12C.

REDMI branded devices usually receive two or three major OS updates. So far, there is no model that has been updated four times. So if your phone was released with MIUI 13 and then updated to MIUI 14, HyperOS 1 and HyperOS 2, don’t expect to get HyperOS 3.

Some phones in the Redmi Note 12 series will not receive the update. The Redmi Note 12 5G, 12 Pro 5G and 12 Pro Plus 5G will remain on Android 14, which is not compatible with HyperOS 3. The same goes for the Redmi Pad and Redmi Pad SE tablets. The Redmi 12C and other older devices won’t be affected by the update either.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, Redmi Note 12R and 12R Pro came with MIUI 13, and the chances of them getting an update are next to nil.

If your device is not on the list, don’t get upset. The developers may add it to the list of supported models later. Wait with us for the official confirmation from the development team.

REDMI smartphones and tablets are supported longer and better than POCO models. However, they are inferior to Xiaomi devices, which have a higher priority for updates and support more generations of Xiaomi and Google Android operating systems.
